Stable Audio
I worked as product manager and designer on Stable Audio. Closely aligning research, engineering and business needs. Stable Audio won Times' top invention of the year (2023) for it being the first long form rights free music generator. I’ve had design awards, never an invention award! Within this project I enjoyed working closely with research to discover what the model could do and how this would improve music creation flows.
Original Generate page
I implemented a minimal design system for the launch, utilizing a streamlined UI to highlight the core capabilities of the Stable Audio model. This later evolved to highlight more of the gen AI model features.
Updated Generate page
Post-launch, I developed the Generate page by incorporating new features and user feedback to enhance functionality and user experience. Key improvements included expanding the input panel for better usability, extending the history panel to display more entries, and reducing the prominence of the player. Additionally, I introduced more controls and features such as input audio, replace audio, and comprehensive history management.
