Creating an augmented reality prototype that works with the Note stylus to enable people to add drawings and stickers to their surrounding.
This feature was later added to the Note 10 on release.
Always on Display (AOD)
Updating the always on display for the Samsung Note to be a users front cover. This got users excited by personalising with drawings, stickers, notes and widgets.
Bixby Home redesign
Rethinking the Bixby Home to become the place to come for the user's productivity and inspiration, with clear, set aesthetic hierarchy and ordering. This new visual language looked at improving content blocks, colour mixing on light and dark modes, and UI interactions.
Music Player
Worked on improving the music experience within the native Samsung music player. Main part of this project, that was later introduced to the S10, was visualising music with the player.
This was taking key colours from the album artwork to create an ambient background that moved with the music playing.
Alarm
Don't you just hate your alarm in the morning!
We wanted to make tapping that snooze button a more enjoyable experience by introducing an ambiant background that slowly grew across the mobile screen as the alarm played.
Home screen
A part of this project was looking at how to improve the Family hubs home screen to make it a smooth experience for all types of users. This involved looking at how people interacted with the big screen, creating an new visual language for the widgets and how the screen could become a living feature within the home.
Onboarding
Improving onboarding to enable the user to personalise their Family Hub to fit their environment.
Calendar
A calendar widget for the family. A way for multiple users to see input and update daily events.
Photo Gallery
Personalised ambient displays that act as a wallpaper when the screen wasn't in use. These executions involved infinite galleries, music visualisers, calendar alert, screen art and much more...
